Easter

Tomorrow is Easter and I have had some decorations up for a while but am just now getting to posting. Here are a few pictures of Easter around my house...
  

These are bird nest that I made from Chow Mien noodles, chocolate, and Malt eggs.

I look like a boy..but this is me at 5 months old(I was a big baby) for an Easter pose that my grandparents took!

We all have memories of Easter... getting a new Easter dress, candy and baskets from the Easter bunny, but the main reason we have Easter is because of the Resurrection on the third day of Jesus. So when with family and friends tomorrow remember the reason to celebrate even though bunnies and candy are wonderful!

Quotes

I have always loved quotes and I often write them down, cut them out, or put them in a note on my phone. I recently added an app on my phone called Inspiration that gives a different quote each day that I have enjoyed very much, on the opposite spectrum of that I also started watching Sex And The City on E! since I had seen the movies but not the show. On each show when Carrie Bradshaw is writing her article she says a quote so some of those have become my favorites.  It's nice on a day when I not feeling my best to read a quote that relates to what I'm going though.

I have recently added Hip2Save as a page I like on Facebook. They update daily with samples and freebies and I am now addicted! I get at least two surprises in the mail a week including a small bag of dog food that my poodle loved. Here are my two freebies I got in the mail this week...

Dresser

This is an old dresser that I found when I was driving by a yard sale, here are the drawers after I sanded them. They have an engraved design that I loved!

The finished product, I picked a Laura Ashley sea foam green Shabby Chic color!

The top and bottom drawers have the original handles and the middle have owl ceramic knobs from anthropologie. I chose to leave the engraved design the original brown to make it pop. It now sits in my study were I store my office supplies.
